Das Stakehaus is the food operation in Darkmoor, and it plays the Central European village setting straight — sausages, schnitzel, roasted meats, spaetzle, dark bread, heavy sides. The name is a vampire joke and the menu is not.
It is the most atmospheric place to eat in the park after dark, with the village outside and the interior lit low. The cooking is solid and the portions are large enough to justify the price, which is more than can be said for several counters at the older Universal parks.
It is also the only substantial food in Dark Universe, so if you are working this world in the evening — which you should be — this is where you are eating.
Better than it needs to be, and the right place to eat if you are doing Dark Universe after sunset. Order the schnitzel and share the sides.
