Bar Ithaca is an outdoor bar in the hub with proper seating, a real cocktail list and a direct view of the coaster running overhead. It is the closest thing Epic Universe has to a place adults go to sit rather than to eat, and it is considerably better designed for that than the equivalent spots at the older parks.
The drinks are made rather than poured, which is a meaningful difference from most theme-park bars, and the small plates are enough to hold you between meals. What you are really buying is a seat in the hub with something to look at, which after six hours of walking is worth the price of a cocktail.
It is at its best in the last two hours of the day, once the children have gone and the lighting has come up. That is also when the coaster overhead is at its most watchable.
