Every seasonal event at the Hollywood Ride parks

Universal Orlando Resort

Separate ticket

Halloween Horror Nights

The strongest hard-ticket haunt event in the country, and an adult horror event rather than a Halloween party. Buy an early-run weeknight and you see most of it; buy an October Saturday without Express Pass and you will see about half of what you paid for.

Confirmed

  • Runslate August or early September – the first weekend of November
  • Typical price$75–$185 / night

Included overlay

Holidays at Universal Orlando

Everything Universal Orlando does at Christmas is included with regular admission, which makes it the best-value season on the resort's calendar and the only one with no ticket to buy. It is also split across separate parks, so the ticket type you choose decides how much of it you actually see.

Expected — not yet announcedNo extra ticket

  • Runsmid-November – the first days of January
  • TicketIncluded with admission

Festival

Universal Orlando Mardi Gras

The best-value thing Universal Orlando runs, because there is no ticket: a night parade, a concert series, and a street of Cajun food booths, all included with regular admission to Universal Studios Florida. The catch is that the good parts run on select nights and the concert brings the whole of Central Florida with it.

Expected — not yet announcedNo extra ticket

  • Runsearly February – late March, and in recent seasons into April
  • TicketIncluded with admission

Universal Studios Hollywood

Included overlay

Grinchmas at Universal Studios Hollywood

The best value in the Universal Studios Hollywood year, because none of it costs anything beyond a regular ticket: a live Grinch show, a redressed Upper Lot, and the Wizarding World's castle projection after dark. It is also the season that makes this park worth a day with young children, which it otherwise is not.

Expected — not yet announcedNo extra ticket

  • Runslate November or early December – the first days of January
  • TicketIncluded with admission

Separate ticket

Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood

A shorter, tighter version of the Orlando event with one thing Orlando cannot copy: the Terror Tram, which takes the backlot after dark. It is an adult horror event, it is small enough that Los Angeles fills it on Fridays and Saturdays, and the night you pick matters more than anything else you decide.

Confirmed

  • Runsearly September – the first weekend of November
  • Typical price$69–$179 / night

How to read the confidence labels

LabelWhat it meansWhat we will state
ConfirmedOfficially announced, with the announcement named on the page.Exact dates and prices.
ExpectedNot announced, but the pattern has held for at least three years.Windows and ranges. Never an exact date.
Last confirmed cycleThis cycle is unannounced or unclear.Last cycle's figures, labeled with their year.

Most competing pages state this year's dates whether or not anyone announced them. That is the practice this labelling exists to avoid.
